Biography

Adriani Nikolakopoulou is a group leader at the Institute of Medical Biometry and Statistics (IMBI) at the University of Freiburg, Germany and elected assistant professor at the Laboratory of Hygiene, Social & Preventive Medicine and Medical Statistics in the School of Medicine at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She studied Applied Mathematics at the National Technical University of Athens and Biostatistics at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, worked as a researcher at the University of Ioannina and received a PhD in Biostatistics from the Institute of Social and Preventive Medicine (ISPM) at the University of Bern, Switzerland. Adriani’s research focuses on developing methodology for evidence synthesis, an area in which she has published 50 articles in international medical and statistical journals. She is associate editor for the journal Research Synthesis Methods and her research has been funded from the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) and the German Research Foundation (DFG).
