Biography

Dr. Tsilidis is an Associate Professor in Epidemiology at the University of Ioannina School of Medicine in Greece. He also holds a Senior Lecturer position in Cancer Epidemiology at Imperial College London, and a honorary Senior Lecturer position at the University of Bristol. He is a molecular epidemiologist with a strong focus on cancer aetiology and prevention. He has written more than 170 scientific papers published in international high-impact journals, and has received more than 7,500 citations. He is the PI of the Epirus Health Study, an ongoing highly-phenotyped cohort in Greece.

Since January 2020, he is the co-PI of the World Cancer Research Fund Continuous Update Project team at Imperial College London, where he leads the regular review of the epidemiological literature on the role of diet, nutrition, anthropometric characteristics and physical activity on cancer prevention and prognosis.
