Biography

Theodore Dardavesis is a Professor in Hygiene & Social Medicine and Director of the Laboratory of Hygiene, Social-Preventive Medicine and Medical Statistics of the Department of Medicine Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH). In 2017 he was elected Dean of the School of Health Sciences of AUTH. (Departments of Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Pharmacy and Dentistry) for the period 2017-2021.

His research interests are in Hygiene, Social and Preventive Medicine and have published 338 papers in peer-reviewed Greek and international journals. He has also written chapters in scientific books, as well as many monographs and books. He is a member of the Editorial Board in many Greek journals and 15 Scientific Boards. He has chaired many national and international conferences. He is also a member of 22 Medical, Social, Cultural and Charitable Organizations, in many of which he participates in the Board as Director. He is a member of Advisory Committee of Doctoral Dissertations and Diploma Thesis, member of Committees of the Department of Medicine and Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He has been honored by 32 Institutions, Companies and Associations for his scientific and medical and social contribution.
